1st WorkPackage 5 meeting – 20/01/2020 Vienna

The 1st WorkPackage 5 meeting took place in Vienna on the 20, of January 2020.

WP5 of FARCROSS aims to:

⚡ Develop and integrate DLR techniques and Health Monitoring systems which can analyze and predict residual service life and safe operation of the transmission lines with the associated risk;

 ⚡ Demonstrate a complex grid management technology for available surplus transfer capacity, risk of operational safety, economical aspects, legal authorization process and last, but not least, the social acceptance;

⚡ Identify improvements of a different way of measurement of two different types of dynamic line rating sensors to utilize better the limited cross-border capacities;

⚡ Review required features of sensor testing protocols and integrated DLR and Health Monitoring system guidelines, proposed for standardization.
