On December 1st Eduardo Martinez Carrasco from CIRCE, presented the FARCROSS project and “Wide-Area Protection, Automation and Control system (WAMPAC) applied to Cross-Border Transmission Systems” for students of Master of Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency of Zaragoza University. It was a 1h class dedicated to presenting an overview of the challenges to protect the network and allow greater integration of renewable energies, explaining some of the necessary mechanisms for coordination between electric transport operators. The class was titled: “FARCROSS: Challenges for the integration of renewable energies in the European electricity system”.
